Our hives are located in the wonderful environment of Alto Sil, in the highest part of the region of El Bierzo, where bees collect pollen and nectar in a practically wild environment, without intensive agricultural or livestock farms. This allows us to offer a superior quality honey, with a unique flavor and multiple health benefits.
Walking through it we find large forests of oaks, chestnuts, hollies... as well as extensive areas of heather and broom, where such emblematic species as the Cantabrian capercaillie (Tetrao Urogallus), Iberian brown bear (Ursus Arctos Pirenaicos), Iberian wolf (Canis Lupus Signatus), eagles, common trout (Salmo Trutta), otters, Eurasian eagle-owl (Bubo Bubo), marten, ermine, among others..., many of them in great danger of extinction.
This area of extremely high environmental wealth, possible thanks to zero contamination and low agricultural and livestock exploitation (only small subsistence and self-sufficiency crops, without pesticides or substances that adulterate honey), draws us a very colorful high mountain landscape, where streams and brooks converge, ideal for hosting a flora and a fauna of very high ecological value.
